FEATURED IN

INDEPENDENT CLINICAL TESTING
Tested Against Jellyfish in Real Conditions
Safe Sea has undergone independent clinical testing across multiple institutions in the United States, evaluating its ability to reduce jellyfish stings under both controlled laboratory and real-world ocean conditions. Three separate studies, conducted against different jellyfish species, produced consistent results.
Stanford University School of Medicine: Department of Dermatology A double-blind controlled study tested Safe Sea against Chrysaora sea nettle jellyfish. Safe Sea inhibited stings in 10 of 12 subjects and eliminated all visible skin reactions across the entire test panel.
Bert Fish Medical Center: Emergency Department, Florida A double-blind controlled study tested Safe Sea against Chiropsalmus box jellyfish — a species considered dangerous to humans. Safe Sea inhibited stings in 9 of 12 subjects and virtually eliminated visible skin reactions.
University of Minnesota: Published in the Journal of Travel Medicine A randomized, placebo-controlled field trial conducted at Dry Tortugas National Park, Florida and Sapodilla Cayes, Belize. Participants snorkeled in open water with jellyfish present. Safe Sea reduced jellyfish stings by 82% under real-world conditions.
INDEPENDENT LABORATORY TESTING
Proven Safe for You and the Ocean
Beyond jellyfish protection, Safe Sea has been independently tested for skin compatibility and sun protection performance by certified laboratories in Europe and the United States.
Skin Compatibility: Eurofins EVIC, Bucharest, Romania A human patch test conducted under full dermatological control on subjects with confirmed sensitive skin. Result: zero irritation reactions across all 22 test subjects. Rated "very good skin compatibility" by the investigating dermatologist.
SPF & Water Resistance: Advanced Science Laboratories, New York, USA In-vivo SPF testing conducted under International Standard ISO 18861. Result: SPF 54.8 under static conditions. SPF 52.4 after 80 minutes of continuous water immersion, retaining 92.8% of sun protection after extended time in the water.

ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION
Certified by Friend of the Sea® for marine environmental standards.
Since April 2018, Safe Sea has held continuous certification from Friend of the Sea®, an independent international organization setting the standard for genuine marine environmental protection. Safe Sea was the first sunscreen in the world to receive this certification. It is among the most established marine-focused sunscreen certifications in the world.
Friend of the Sea® certification requires Safe Sea to meet strict, independently verified environmental standards, covering ingredient safety for marine ecosystems, the absence of harmful UV filters, and a demonstrated commitment to ocean protection. It is not a self-declared claim. It is an independently verified standard that Safe Sea has maintained continuously for over seven years.
INTERNATIONAL MEDIA
Recognized Beyond the Industry
Safe Sea has been featured by some of the world's most recognized international broadcasters, including CNN, BBC, ABC News, Discovery Channel, National Geographic and The Daily Telegraph, reflecting the global significance of jellyfish protection as a genuine ocean safety issue.
